Summer of 2025 my novella "The Hotel Montclair" released! You can find it on Lulu marketplace. Cover art by Maureen Chokola.

In an isolated hotel in the Colorado mountains, Gabriel “Gecko” Sherwin grows up listening to his family’s stories. His father’s side has run the hotel for generations, while his mother’s immigrated to the West Coast from the Philippines and saw a steep rise and fall in their fortunes. As he grows out of the whimsy of childhood and into the somber reality of his teen years, Gecko watches his family change, too, and must find a way to redefine his relationships with the people he knows and loves best.
A timeless coming-of-age story, The Hotel Montclair balances wonder and connection in the quiet but colorful life of the Sherwin family.

About Me

Hello! Glad you stopped by. I'm Quinn (or Quill), and I've been writing ever since I could hold a pencil. I like dancing, singing, and playing Dungeons and Dragons. As a writer, I love exploring human relationships through fantasy. Some emotions are just too big to not burst out tentacles and try to smother you.
I am a two-time winner of the Heermans-McCalmon Stage Play Award, and have had short stories appear in a couple of online magazines: "The Imaginary Creature on My Rock" in Everyday Fiction and "An Eye Out for Ladybugs" in Kitsch Magazine. The Faerie Linguist was published in Pixie Forest's anthology Ever After. A production of my screenplay Becca Comes to Visit won several awards and screened at many festivals in the US and UK including the Soho International Festival. I've also been fortunate enough to see many of my plays performed on stage!
